Print Three months into his tenure as secretary of state, Rex Tillerson alarmed veteran diplomats with remarks that sounded like a potential shift in American foreign policy: The comment, at a gathering of State Department employees, provoked an outcry among former U. You can unsubscribe at any time. It also seems to foreshadow President Donald Trump's approach to the complex politics of human rights overseas. During his May visit to Saudi Arabia, and while hosting the leaders of Egypt and Turkey at the White House, Trump did not publicly press the leaders of those countries on their authoritarian policies. In relation to our competitors, there is far less of a dilemma.

It does not take much to starat bending or flexing this so called hitch mount, and I would have to believe that that extension as in the first image would put a ot of stress on the hitch. One time I was dead set on converting ll my hitches to ball type, but the biggest obstacle I ran into was getting the coupler portions in sizes that would fit various towed items tongue widths, without having to drastically modify the tongues with shims etc to fit the couplers. Its also easy to overload them instead of just having the hitch pin type tongue top section start to bend a bit when overloaded, you have a tendancy to not take notice sometimes.
Yo know how it is, just a few more shovel fulls or a few more rocks should be OK, and thats all it takes to reach or exceed that max limit. Its not hard to raise a ball up to sufficient height.
At first it seemed a little difficult to use, but after studying it for a bit I recognized that it could be very effective.
Invention[ edit ] The first lawn mower was invented by Edwin Budding in in Thrupp , just outside Stroud , in Gloucestershire , England. Budding's mower was designed primarily to cut the grass on sports grounds and extensive gardens, as a superior alternative to the scythe , and was granted a British patent on August 31, The mower was pushed from behind.
Cast-iron gear wheels transmitted power from the rear roller to the cutting cylinder, allowing the rear roller to drive the knives on the cutting cylinder; the ratio was Another roller placed between the cutting cylinder and the main or land roller could be raised or lowered to alter the height of cut. The grass clippings were hurled forward into a tray-like box.
It was soon realized, however, that an extra handle was needed in front to help pull the machine along. Overall, these machines were remarkably similar to modern mowers.
USING YOUR TRACTOR
These are the basic specifications. The standards include additional specifications on dimensions and geometry. Seems like a great idea! Just back up to any implement, click, click, and drive away! What I discovered is my category 1 implements are way too variable for the quick hitch to be of much use.
That later option is a much better choice, but it would require removing the bow rail from the deck to drill a hole for the wire.
Although boat yards specialize in this type of work, much, if not all, can be done by a knowledgeable owner with some well developed basic skills. Fortunately nothing is a total loss and from these stories come six basic rules that may be of some value to someone contemplating activities that will make their boat more to their liking. Nothing beats a hot shower for making the cruising sailor into a human being. Altair had her heater located in a cockpit lazarette which precluded any inspection or maintenance of the fuel tank, seacocks, wheel steering mechanism, and any other gear below the cockpit sole.
In order to repair two leaking seacocks and their hoses, the engine had to be removed. It looked beautiful but there was no way to inspect the chain plates, genoa track fasteners, hull to deck join, stanchion base fasteners which were loose , or wire runs, without destroying the screwed and glued teak work. The 30hp Atomic 4 in a Pearson Vanguard had finally wheezed it last and the owner opted for a new diesel. He bought a 30hp Yanmar at a boat show and had it installed. Sounds logical — 30hp replacing 30hp.
He would have been quite happy with a slower turning 20hp diesel and would have spent far less money.
The New York Times’ Curious Effort to Undermine Rex Tillerson
DOD photo by U. Air Force Staff Sgt. Tillerson on Monday, portraying him as a hapless bureaucrat, slow of action, isolated in his office, lacking in expertise, at odds with his president. That may indeed be an accurate picture of the secretary, and I claim no knowledge or expertise on the subject that would put me in position to gainsay the thrust of the piece. But its timing was intriguing, and some elements seemed to suggest, in a purely journalistic sense, that the Times writers David E.
Sanger, Gardiner Harris, and Mark Landler were stretching to bolster their central thesis.
Anchor Windlass When I purchased Sarah in she was equiped with a Lofrans Royal manual windlass shown on the right.
The above link works for me same link, just re-posted it in this reply. Are you copying the link and pasting into your browser's address window? Let me know if it still isn't working for you. Chris Ed Miller 7 October Chris - The link to the manual did work at 2nd try, so the site owner probably had the link down temporarily. I bought two parts to replace the tineshaft oil seals, but I noticed a problem with spacing.
The tine assembly has just under 2" between the bolt hole and the inside edge which buts up against the housing or gear cover on the left.
This required a change in the chain wheel on the Lofrans windlass. In both of these anchors were replaced by a Manson Supreme I retained the Bruce as my backup anchor for several years, but it no longer sat in a roller on the bow. In I sold the Bruce and replaced it with a Fortress Anchor. Sarah came with Lofrans Royal manual windlass, which I replaced with a Quick Hector electric windlass in I have created a separate page on the installation of that windlass.
After I've used these shackles with the snubber line on Sarah's anchor for a week or so, I may cut off the tails.
January 26, The idea of infinite digital inventory has been batted around as a concept among colleagues for a long time. Every time I hear this, I get pissed. The reason for this reaction is that I know some folks are turning a blind eye to what is actually happening in advertising markets. There are four ways in which the lie of infinite media is created.
In reality, there is too little real supply. If real supply and demand are in balance, there is very little room for shenanigans.

Longswords The Longsword is a type of European sword used during the late medieval period, approximately to with early and late use reaching into the 13th and 17th centuries, respectively. Longswords have long cruciform hilts with grips over 10 to 15in length providing room for two hands. Straight double-edged blades are often over 1 m to 1. The longsword is commonly held in combat with both hands, though some may be used single-handed.
Until I realized the rail might be the source of my leak I was strongly inclined to just run the wire outside the rail.
Sheet-to-Tiller Self Steering This page describes a simple, inexpensive way to make a sailboat steer itself using wind power. It was inspired by a posting by Al Gunther in the newsgroup rec. The following text and photos are courtesy of Al. Overview Sheet-to-tiller steering capitalizes on the simple principle that the same forces that cause a sailboat to go off course, are used to steer in a counteracting direction to keep it on it's desired course.
When properly adjusted, there is an almost magical feeling that the boat is "on rails" as John Letcher described it in his book Self-Steering for Sailing Craft back in Most sailboats are designed so that the helm is balanced in light air, but weatherhelm increases as the angle of heel increases due to the force of the wind on the sails.
